Aipom is there to advertise Technician and use perfect accuracy moves if Defog is still up.
Girafarig has valid Atk for ingame. It literally is a mixed attacker.
Twister is nice steady damage, leer hits two opponents in Doubles, and you can't expect Waterfall/Bounce/Dragon Dance/Ice Fang this early in the game anyways.
Post comparable npc trainers from other games at around the same stage in the game.

It was annoying more than anything. It would be fine if THUD was useful, but munchlax is just there so your guaranteed to get hit by a confuse ray. I've thought about attacking his mon so something actually happens and something useful gets sent out.

What is your pic trying to imply? I seriously don't even remember fighting those ace trainers and the admins were just as generic as Team Rocket trainers.
The only problem I ever had in DPP was in that zone where you find drifloon, and that's because I was underleveled with no mons since I skipped stuff due to battles being so fucking slow in Diamond.

There isn't a most important mechanic, kid. It's a mix of everything that matters. If all that matters for you are battles then I don't know why aren't you editing your games. Make all battles hard, simply. I mentioned Stadium because the greatest battles that you can have are in Stadium.

Idk what the levels are around this point in the game but that doesn't look that bad, 4 moves with STAB on each mon is better than most the major trainers in current games.

And compared to Platinum, it was pretty bad.
Smog is a joke, higher special attack but it uses low base power physical attacks instead.
Levels are irrelevant, since Platinum still managed to give some lower level Pokemon better movesets.

Flaws were there (haunter, flash cannon on steelix) but overall they are leagues above the rest.

When one of those 4 moves is fucking Tackle at level 35 he'd be better off with three moves. Also, Bite and Faint Attack are completely redundant, and seeing as this battle happens in Goldenrod, it's pretty dumb not to have him use at least one of the TMs from the department store.

Can you imagine having to double battle two Bronzong at once, with dual screens and only one weakness (fire) at that point of the game?
Bronzong back in gen 4 was no joke.
I would've loved it, but japanese kids already complained about difficulty as it was, which is why we got shit like >>34138233 afterwards.

No one's team was fixed, Glacia still has 2 Sealeos, an XL Sealeo and 2 Glalies.
Sydney's team still consists of slow frail attackers.
Phoebe is still a shitter almost no offensive power.
Wallace was a joke, about on par with Steven.

God I loved the fucking gimmick teams Collosseum had. This is my absolute favorite, five out of six pokemon have one of the Hyper Beam variants, and the other pokemon (usually Skarmory) would keep switching them with Roar, so he'd just be firing beams constantly with no recharge.
