I love how Rotom doesn't shut up now, recycles the same 8-10 tips 24 hours a day and literally blocks your map while doing it.
The bottom screen in gen 6 was amazing and did everything you could ever want, then they killed it and made it a map and a stupid face, then with USUM they somehow made it so that face can't even show the map half the time now.

It's actually unbelievable, when you think they have hit rock bottom they go and make it worse.

Roto powers are consumable items that can only be obtained every once in a while, with no way to control which ones you get. Not him but you have to admit hiding a basic control option like that behind a secret on a specific point of the map is completely asinine too, it's prime Game Freak retardation. Literally any other company would ask what control method you want before entering the minigame for the first time, and then put a toggle in the options after, that's pure common sense.

Just delaying it doesn't mean it'll be good automatically. He just meant when faced with the choice of releasing a game that needs more work and delaying it to make it good, you should delay it.
A fucked up project will likely remain fucked up no matter how much you delay it for, I think SM was fucked up from the start to be honest but something like XY could have clearly used more time as they at least had the right idea for features and such, it just lacked content.

You only need to slightly pay it attention. Rotomdex affection grows based on how much attention you give it, and the loto is not connected to its affection. So all you need to do is answer it when it asks and not click on it when it's sad. The higher the affection, the more questions and tips you give.

Personally I hope they release a patch to lower the tips. Now that it calls me master, it seems like I only see my map half the time.

I tried not clicking on him for an entire day and I only got a few loto prompts, much less than before.

I'm pretty sure when every 2 touches when he asks to be touched with sad eyes = one loto.
Needs more testing though, the entire system sucks.

Remember the golf course, all that extra space in the water area, the planned dino park by route 8, Wela Volcano being too empty, and more? Well, they were not expanded upon in USUM.

God those first few months were godlike on XY, just fucking amazing times, /vp/ had constant trade and battling threads and you could find people in-game all the time. Every 20 minutes or so is accurate, but then you don't CHOOSE what you get. There are a dozen or so possible options, so to get whatever you want you'd have less than 10% chance. You get them in pairs.
I think they last like 8 minutes? Or 10 at most, I haven't timed it.
So basically on average you'll need like 2 and a half hours to get 6 minutes of whatever power you want.

For science, I've been playing for 35 hours and ALWAYS touching Rotom whenever he asked to, so I'm getting loto every 20 minutes or so plus the special ones he gives you on special occasions like a Pokemon evolving or you answering a scripted question.
This is what I got in my boost pocket:
Boost x 14
Exp x 12
Encounter x 12
Friendship x 14
PP Restore x 18
Stealth x 14
Prize Money x 18
Bargain x 8
Catch x 10
HP Restore x 2

Presumably Hatching isn't unlocked for me yet, because the alternative is that it's that much rarer in which case fuck everything. I fucking hope it's just not unlocked yet.
So yeah, for example if I wanted to train Pokemon, I got at best 2 hours of increased EXP by actively playing the loto for 35 hours. Not looking good.

It depends on the one. EXP boost is only a few minutes, the money booster is one per trainer battle, the egg hatching one is presumably 20ish minutes.
