Moving to the switch is a retarded move financially, since everyone owns a 3ds even sony and xbox fans, but a more powerful processor and more powerful screen SHOULD allow for more pokemon, better models, lighting, cooler cinematic stuff, etc.
Still, imagine all the dumb tech demo wii shovelware-tier things they'd add to Pokemon Gen 8: Switch edition. Imagine moving the mini-controller bits to pet your pokemon in 3d. Nothing will ever recapture the brilliance that was the Sinnoh Underground and what an amazing step up it was from the Secret Bases in Emerald, and what a step closer to the mythical PokeMMO.
I know a Pokemon MMO could literally never work but goddamnit, it was fun to believe in back then.
