I wonder if those "crystals" in his arms/feet have any purpose in the early stage of design, regular Necrozma has them, Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings don't and Ultra Necrozma has them again. Also I think Ultra Necrozma would look better if the armor was black but with glowing every once in a while

Well Pokémon always teased us with the "Original Dragon", so finally seeing a Ultimate Forme is pretty satysfying. Also they did well with base Necrozma, despite the dragon head chest I would have never expected to look anywhere like this

They do change to those 2 "phases" when using their signature moves. Most notable they gain a psychic third eye. However it's not considered a proper form and thus not viewable on the dex, lacks a mini menu/pelago sprite, etc.

Vanilla Necrozma is pretty much a Lego figure built without instructions, Dusk Mane/Wings is when you disassemble said figure and try to make a MOC, but just add those parts to a existing figure and tge result is a clusterfuck. And U-crozma is the correct built once you realise those plastic wings in the box DO go on the model.
