They're both betas. SM was a beta for another game, and USUM is that same beta with a few minor changes and a couple of new bits of code added, In terms of being the full version of SM it's not any more finished than they were.

And Breath of the Wild is intentionally a back-to-its-roots exploration game instead of a traditional 'Zelda' game, with 8 dungeons with items and bosses. It's a nostalgia game, they just didn't phone it the fuck in.

Neither Odyssey nor BotW rely on nostalgia to be enjoyable. I have no nostalgia whatsoever for either of those franchises and I love both games.

But that's fine, Skyward Sword was Zelda's 25, and the very next game on console was BotW, a massive leap in quality.
Skyward Sword was about where Pokemon is now.

The 2D Mario sections aside, a lot of the costumes in Odyssey aren't necessary to beat the game. Complete it, sure but there's no real point to getting every non-shop moon in the game.
