Possibkt not far off from the truth. The UBs have Beast Boost and the Totem aura even when encountered on their home turf, so Necrozma's power is indeed there. Maybe the UB universes are timelines that were blessed by Necrozma's light, like Ultra Megalopolis was before they got greedy.

Well Beast Boost is a weaponized form of the Totem aura, and totems were formed from Necro's Z light irradiating areas of Alola through wormholes.

Not to mention Guzzlord evolved from regular Pokemon in an alternate Alola. UBs are crazy hyper-evolved mutant mons.
