If you were wondering, I limited my connections to 5 at a time, so my upload speed wouldn't get fucking destroyed by 200 people trying to get it at the same time. My max upload was 670kb/s, so. Everytime I posted on here I had to stop seeding.

It'll ban you because you are going online before the release date, not because you downloaded the leaked game.

After release you are 100% fine. Maybe avoid syncing to the global link for a few weeks though because being that far into the game day 1 may be a red flag, though this is 100% speculation.

Open HxD, make a new file, use Edit > Insert bytes, set bytecount to 10 then confirm everything. Then just name that 00040000001b5000.dat , place it on /fbi/seed/ folder. Open FBI, navigate to your game, then hit Install seed.

I'm using FBI 2.4.6 and I didn't receive any such error from the cia that was in the archive (Pokemon Ultra Sun.7z, UltraSun by Holiday Ougi.cia).

My cia's probably old but it worked fine. Could try unzipping and transferring the cia to the sd card again, in case there was an error transferring it over, but otherwise i have no clue not having received any errors.

Hey, while I wait to try to install the UltraSun CIA onto my hacked 3DS, maybe someone can help me with an issue I've been having with Ultra Moon.

I tried to install the available .CIA file ("Pokemon Ultra Moon - FyreLordZuko.cia") using the latest version of FBI, but when I try to play it, I get a blank screen.

To try to fix this, I tried to preload the TIK files, as well as the available seed file... but neither of that seems to allow me to go past the black screen.

I figured that it installed correctly, because it plays the game tune when I select the game, and the "Manual" button is available... but still no luck.

Does anyone have any clues on how to fix this? I also tried using "Pokemon Ultra Moon (All Region) (RF).cia" (the 18 split RAR version) and neither seem to work.

Or should I just stick with Ultra Sun because that'll work better?

Are you on latest Luma/b9s? Blank screen usually means the reboot patch failed, which is a thing on O3DS as the game is memory-extended. Most of the time this is caused by being on a bad/old CFW.

I'm also on 11.2 and the game runs fine, the main deal is Luma itself. You can check your current version by holding select on boot.

I had the same issues last year when I CIA'd Moon, in that I also got a black screen for 1-10 seconds, so I thought that was the same case here... but it wasn't this time; it stayed black indefinitely. So I knew something was up.

Sounds like you downloaded from the Billy jew. He only does encryped .3ds, for Gateway. Citra uses decrypted ones. The ones I linked in the post you replied to are decrypted and proper for Citra.

When installing a cia you need to basically have double the space available because it uses the cia file to install the game, then deletes the cia file.

Fair enough. Although you can use it afterward to play all the DS Pokemon games (as well as the rest of the DS library) for free (minus the initial cost of the flashcart, obviously).

Now, you can get a better, faster and custom build by getting the source code of the build sickc build (I think this is it? https://github.com/sickc/citra/commits/sandbox) and building it yourself using flags like

-O3 -mtune=native -march=native

↑ If you are compiling from the source code. Those flags I've specified above should give you the maximum speed because as far as I can see your processor is gen 3 (ivy bridge) but there is no specific build that is making use of your ivy bridge optimisations (eg -mtune=ivybridge or -mtune=native - if you write down native, it will just auto detect what processor you have)

Now the ones generated by sickc are going to be something like -mtune=haswell or -mtune=generic but Haswell refers to 4th gen (and so on, as you can see there is no ivy bridge/3rd gen build) and the only one you can really run there is generic (which will run on any processor but is slower). So although the sickc builds are the "best" they aren't as good as you could get if you compile it yourself.
