Do you think children actually like Z-moves as much as mega-evos? I can't imagine they would.

Megas at least required strategy but Z moves are just free kills

Giving the player free nukes is shit, megas and z moves should have more requirements, like being based on your friendship or some new stat

Z moves are so superior to megas it’s not even a contest.

>don’t ruin the iconic look of original pokemon with deviantart tier digivolutions.
>get to see your pokemon do a cool super move
>your trainer (and by extension you, the player) are included through the dance pose, further connecting you to your pokemon

I know that mega evolution sort of did the third thing also with the Karen rider/ magical girl bracelet, but mega evolutions being so ugly really defeats any excitement. There is not a single mega evolution that looks better than the pokemon it evolves from. Prove me wrong.

You're probably just going to say anything posted is ugly but I genuinely love mega Gardevoir It's even more elegant and regal than the original version and the shiny version is even better.

Just megaevolving doesn't win the battle, you still need a moveset and a strategy bc you can get countered
Z moves are just press A to wkn, or rather press A wait 10 seconds and endure the framedrop to kill an enemy

Megas are superior to Z-moves. They last during the entire battle and as said beforr require more strategy since they can still beaten.
Plus from an aesthetic point of view it adds more excitement to you as a trainer. Your mega could usually be your ace or heavy hitter, and sometimes you could build a team around your mega, depending on if changes the base Pokemon recieve benefit the entire team.
Z-moves aren't as great because they're just one hit wonders, which imo is more boring than Megas. If we got more Z-moves like Kommo-o, then they'd get more recognition in my eyes.

I don't think children care as much about Megas because they're not familiar with the older Pokemon anyway. To them it's like a new Pokemon getting a new form. They don't know it well enough to be particularly impressed.

Z-Moves by comparison can be used by any Pokemon, so their favorites won't be excluded. It's flashy and in-the-moment, the perfect kind of entertainment for a child who doesn't have to think about shit like base stat totals and competitive tiers.

You would have to actually pay attention to the battle camera when zooming to see if the rival trainer has given some hidden hint.

Bring that and make Nuzlocke mode a set option; I would be officially be hooked.
