Every third version has gotten a lower score than the base game. Even BW got a 87 metacritic score vs BW2's 80 even though BW2 had FAR more new content.

probably because it's looked at more objectively than the game it's based on. and if it doesn't fix the issues that the previous game had, the score is bound to be lower.
