>>34164270With well over half of the rest being unobtainable without transfers. There's only so many Pokemon that they can fit into one game's encounters, and for obvious reasons they can't have the old ones not named Pikachu hogging all of the spotlight.
As for facilities, when they saw that in B2W2's much ballyhooed postgame (which I recall was in fact recycled areas from BW that would have garnered outrage here were they to try that today) nobody gave a shit about the Frontier's absence, they realized they could cut it with no consequences beyond some minor complaints- the casuals didn't care, and the hardcore competitive types that could have appreciated battle facilities were content with online battles with a Wi-Fi system that wasn't completely crap anymore as well as simulators. I imagine even exploration was cut for similar reasons; the average player went from appreciating the hidden crap they could find to asking what the point of the area was if it didn't get them to the end of the game any faster. It's grown more linear,to be sure, but only because the target audience lacks the curiosity and patience to explore worth a damn.
It's a miracle that they even bothered to throw the half-assed bone that we got in the Agency, really.
