I couldn't post this because that thread got closed, though I agree with that other guy that Fear Factor Phony is when the dub went to hell, but a lot of TPCi dub fanboys don't even get their facts straight and bash the 4Kids dub for shit their dub is even more guilty of doing- it is the TPCi dub that is dogshit compared to the 4Kids dub, and here's why.

First, TPCi dub was shit in DP, to the Jimmy Neutron anon:

- They didn't keep the original dialogue and rewrote stuff out the wazoo, TPCi Team Rocket being an even further departure from the Japanese TR than 4Kids Team Rocket was. They also inserted Ash and Brock gay jokes not in the Japanese Version, called Ash a noob, etc.

- They only kept 40 ish% of the original Japanese music: TPCi replaced the other 60% in DP, only the Movies were spared the OSTs, which even 4Kids kept all the OST in 2 of the 3 AG Movie dubs as well, and 96% in the other one, so that's not an excuse.

- The voice acting in the DP dub was terrible compared to what 4Kids did, Ash sounding like a chain smoker and James with a cold, among others.

And the TPCi dub of XY and SM is worse than the 4Kids dub ever was:

A) They replace like 85% of the OST now in the Sun and Moon Series, even 4Kids never got this bad outside of Movie 1 and 3.

B) We got 7 episodes with only 1 piece of Japanese music kept in this last season, again, even 4Kids never did this.

C) The I Choose You Movie kept only 1/55 pieces of Japanese music (which even 4Kids kept 100% OST in the Lucario Movie dub, to tell you how terrible TPCi has gotten).

D) TPCi still censor the dub now:

E) TPCi still Americanize it by removing kanji for Z-Moves + in general as of the XY dub onwards.

F) TPCi's voice acting is still garbage to this day, sorry, not sorry.

It amazes me TPCi fanboys will call the 4Kids dub dogshit when the TPCi dub is the true dogshit here: defend their garbage, pls.
