I think it's cute on a way that comes naturally to it. Sure it's got the same proportions as most Mythicals, but it's got that serious pouty look to it instead of a forced smile. Also the details on it aren't clashing; they all fit pretty well together and share a consistent color scheme.

Didn't see it but I'm pretty sure Marshadow is supposed to be the "judge" working under Ho-oh's guidelines to decide who is worthy based on the color of the feather. When Cross corrupted the feather, Marshadow went berserk and tried to force them off the mountain... by killing them.

Even if you're not a fan of Marshadow you have to admit there are some mythicals in comparison that are much more "literally who" than it.

Volcanion's my favourite mythical, I find its "ugliness" to be rather endearingly cute. Phione is memorable for its infamy. Meloetta-P is also memorable for infamy in that it is hindered by its own gimmick. For Marshadow, I have nothing to say whatsoever.

Arguably my favorite design of gen 7. I can’t really think of anything that I like immediately alongside Marshadow.

I think his design has a good balance of cute and cool, and his fighting spirit’s palette has really grown on me.

Lastly, it’s a small fighter. I’m a sucker for small things and fighting is my favorite type.
