Battle Tree Changes?

I've seen a couple comments saying there's a new mode that allows legendary/mythical Pokémon. Can anyone confirm or elaborate?

I'm pretty sure I did the normal singles mode and it let in a level 100 and it stayed level 100. It also said special pokemon were allowed and I think I could bring necrozma. My memory is a bit hazy because I fell asleep right after doing that.

Normal mode allows legends/mythicals and doesn't scale your level back down. Super is the usual rules though.

Well I gotta give them some props for making the ordeal for many people wanting to stock up on BP to get the stuff for battling and breeding much less of a freaking headache after relying on battle royale of all things.

It's a bandaid response to complaints that the tree kicks your shit in too quickly. I wonder if they'll keep this system for gen 8's tower knock off or just keep the gen 5/6 normal difficulty.

If I had to choose between new legendaries and access to an old mythical, I'd take the first option.

Already finished the tree in moon normally. Getting all the necessary stuff at the beginning was the hard part.

Lille can be recruited outside the tree but her team can't function at all in super and would require carrying in normal multi. Only new opponent is Kukui. There's videos of teaming up with Giovanni but that's only hacking in his Giovanni data.
