Cutscenes killed this game for me desu. I started playing it again recently but it feels so boring and slow. I wasn't even following the USUM news - will these games be full of long ass cutsecenes too?

Cutscenes are still there and there's no option to skip them.
The games themselves are just SM with a few tweaks. Don't waste your money

Actually I'd advise just selling your copy of moon now if you haven't sunk much time in it and use whatever pittance you get towards ultra whatever if you really want to keep up with gen7. I won't say keeping up with gen7 is a great idea though, but we don't know when the switch games are gonna show so if you need that modern pokemon fix, there isn't anywhere else to go.

I think I'm gonna give it the last chance. People tend to say that SM are the best games ever released but right now I don't feel it at all. Well, at least I was downloading all these gift codes and stuff.

Yeah, they're moving onto the switch after this. It's been confirmed that gen 7 would be the last 3ds games a while ago by GF themselves. What I'm actually gonna do is pester a buddy to let me use his 3ds for a day or two so I can transfer everything over from my copy of moon to the new games, but thats only because I've refused to use bank.

I don't know if they're the best Pokemon games ever made, but they are definitely the most visually impressive. They're leagues above XY and ORAS, which were very impressive for their time. I'm amazed how good they managed to make SM look on the same platform as Gen 6.

My biggest complaint about SM was that the whole game seemed like easy-mode, just like XY. I know that Pokemon games are not exactly difficult, but I never felt challenged at any point in SM because my team became so powerful compared to the NPCs. I don't think I ever had more than one of my Pokemon faint during a battle in SM. At least previous gens actually had challenging bosses or dungeons with lots of high-level trainers.

That's it. Another thing, all the mainline Pokemon games up to XY are given the final rating of "Good Game" (良ゲー). ORAS and SM were a lot more debated when they came out, and ORAS now has the ratings "Inferior" (劣化) "Black History" (黒歴史) (which basically means "let's pretend this never happened"). SM has no rating at all, which generally means the game is considered average, or like it's mostly good but not everyone agrees. Actually, it kind of sounds like it should have the "love it or hate it" (賛否両論) rating, but whatever.

Nips have shit taste confirmed. That quest was actually one of the more interesting parts of the game. characters felt human in it.

Why do people get this upset at the cutscenes? I find them boring also, but it's not like each one is an hour long. It's 30 seconds to 2 minutes of your time. Do people really have attention spans this short, that these interruptions are so bad that it's worth quitting the game?

One of the 100 postgame events is a Dartrix whose trainer died and the Aether Foundation are unable to release it into the wild because Dartrix refuses. You have to find the trainer's family and give Dartrix to them. There's also an Incineroar wrestler you can help.
