That is true.

3rd versions always have more content and improved gameplay compared to their original core pairs. The problem is that USUM has less and/or poorly designed features compared to other 3rd versions and B2W2.

ORAS was never THAT bad, the negativity comes from what it COULD'VE been, or arguably should have been.
They're merely OK otherwise. DexNav and Soaring are some stand out features that are 10/10 though, and you can bet your ass we'll never see them again.

I like how USUM's idea of a "ultra changes postgame" is a small story "episode" just like the delta episode or the looker episode.
That's what Game Freak considers a third version now, we all crapped on gen 6 but we didn't know how much worse it could get.
