Why wouldn't you get yellow? It is objectively the best of the three. It has everything the other two have plus better sprites and you don't have to pick just one starter.

I like picking my starter, I like Raichu and I'm not the biggest fan of the more anime oriented stuff but I might go with Yellow since it's been forever since I beat it.

The sprites in yellow are boring. As far as design-accurate sprites go they're so much worse than GS and the wacky/creepy RB sprites are more interesting.

Play Yellow, box the rat, keep your dick in your pants and don't use all three starters just because they're given to you.

Yellow improved the move pools and learnsets of countless Pokemon, and made distribution of many Pokemon better. IIRC, you also get better in-game trades.

If you love any of these and want to use them pick Red:
Ekans line
Oddish line
Mankey line
Growlithe line
Scyther
Electabuzz

otherwise, pick Blue/Green.

If you want to have the worst Pokemon as your starter, pick Yellow.
