Selene (name used in the trailers, I'm calling her that) is the canon trainer, Moon canon game. The pattern of games and trainers goes like this (just my opinion tho)(not a timeline, just gender and version chart):
Trainer: Red, game: (Fire)Red (game doesn't matter in gen 1 tho, or for the remakes
Trainer: Gold, game: (Soul)Silver
Trainer: May, game: (Alpha)Sapphire
Trainer: Lucas, game: Diamond
Trainer: Hilbert, game: White,
Trainer: Rosa, game: White2
Trainer: Calem, game: X (funny how the male trainer is associated with X, and the female gets Y)
Trainer: Selene, game: Moon (Pattern breaker)
The pattern goes: Male trainer, corresponding game (by which I mean the one they're named after in the Adventures manga), male trainer, noncorresponding game, female trainer, corresponding game. No female trainer, noncorresponding game tho. But this is just headcanon/opinion.
