Why do Lyra, Ethan, May and Brendan own Wiis and Wii Us if remakes are supposed to take place at the same time as the original games, but in an alternate universe?

Actually, it's that the games take place later than the originals.

OG universe timeline starts in 1996
Remake universe timeline starts in 2004
