they also didn't fix a lot of the things that were wrong with GS - for example ,all the shit that was cut out of GS due to memory limitations and having only an 8 MB cartridge, none of that stuff was meaningfully elaborated on. everything was still just as short as it was before - it was just prettier, for the most part. there was a bit added, yes, but most of it was extraneous.
also making me catch the box legendary as part of the story was annoying. stop that shit.
also not being able to evolve murkrow until after you beat the elite four... like why. why do that stupid race nonsense to get dusk stones and then not let me get them anyway...
idk. too much pissed me off about HGSS.
also making me take more HMs than was originally necessary to get to red the first time. just ridiculous. infact, requiring any HMs to get to red at all is a horrible idea.
they should have also either made his pokemon level up each time you beat him, or just put all his pokemon at level 100. there's really no excuse for them not being at level 100.
