I'm also still on the fence, I'll probably wait until it's on sale if only to get the couple of new mons but it seems like the overall sentiment is bad. From what I'm reading it's like 90% reused assets, cutscenes and dialogue is almost entirely recycled minus the very end with Rainbow Rocket and the wormhole slot machine. The ultra space areas are like single rooms or a hallway with no ability to go exploring and additions are lazily incorporated, like apparently when Nebby gets attacked by the three Spearow you battle one and the cutscene still shows three because they just copied it over from SM. It's basically like lite DLC at the price of a full gsme.

this seems like the first poekmon game where it feel like a complete reskin. They tossed in all the dragons and furbait pokemon to get people to buy it and the RR is just there to get nostalgia fags. Pokemon needs to do something really good to get me to buy one of their games again.

Honestly, though it's tradition for me to get a physical cart, Ultra Moon left a bad taste in my mouth. Should've just stuck with my pirated version.

I'm so scared of what the Switch games will be like. I wish Gamefreak weren't in charge anymore.

Pirating at the expense of precious space in the event it turns out to be shit. However, is it really very nearly the exact same game as Sun and Moon as opposed to a new story ala B2W2? Need to know this on account of autistic headcanon dictating whether or not to choose the same starter.

Also, are the default clothes and hairstyle in USUM? May as well play as the exact same character while I'm at it.

Just bought UM off local auction site for 30€. Including Litten collectible figurine :^) They are storebought for 40-50€ here.

Will probably regret it, but who knows. I enjoyed the original. 30€ isn't that much anyways, since I buy games once in 5 years or so.

Honestly, if you're not okay with essentially playing through SM again, don't bother with USUM. There are lots of differences, sure, but most of them are very minor.

I'm having fun with USUM, but I also had fun with SM. I do however hope "enhanced" versions die as a concept, I'd much rather have a DLC that contains a postgame story, legendary catching, battle facility, etc.
