To be fair, it doesn’t take a Pokémon connoisseur to realize that US/UM were extremely underwheing for a “sendoff” Pokémon game for the 3DS era and an updated version of its predecessors, Sun/Moon.
Compare it to the NDS sendoff games, B2W2, which had drastic changes from BW.
USUM doesn’t deserve high review ratings/scores. They feel half-assed and I feel betrayed. At least put in some effort, GF.
