now: they are sharp pointy digimon, dragons, or looney tunes drawn by autistic children that look so unrealistic it's not funny. they are all drawn by several people, each of whom has the idea to "draw a pokemon" so they are playing the role and the result becomes less genuine.
also, no water colors. the pokemon designs have generally gotten worse over time, but even the newer ones with watercolours look better than without.
