the game is fundamentally the same and this was the biggest modification i've seen so far

they removed that cute cutscene and replaced it with 3 pinsirs

idgaf if USUM lillie didnt leave after the game ends, she was less of a character than she was in SM and would have been better off leaving alola to become a better trainer or whatnot

Also there are enough differences even on the first couple of islands to make it enjoyable, if you take your fugin time and appreciate the game.

It's in the same region and some elements of the story near the start are the same, but it's definitely an enhanced experience.
