Who gives a shit if it "adds nothing to the game"? Photo club adds nothing to the game. The Maile gym "simulator" adds nothing to the game. The Pokemon games have always been filled with useless features that are only there for aesthetic enjoyment, so why not keep the one that the majority clearly liked the most?
