the thing that everyone refuses to acknowledge about trick-room is that it stays even if your mon dies or you switch, so even if you get raped in 1 turn setting it (slowbro can easily set it for free), you have 4 free turns where your team is faster, hence your nukers go hyper-offensive with a choice-band, yes its even easier than using pheromosa.
second, lots of trick roomers can hardly be revenge-killed because of their bulk, barely any priority attack can kill mega-mawile or specs adaptability dragalge.
when the trick room ends you just put your second sacrifice, 2 setters is generally all you need and 1 or 2 emergency priority revenge-killers to FURTHER bamboozle the enemy when trick-room runs out, aqua-jet crawdaunt can pull it off, megamaw sucker punch still does it, bullet punch scizor etc etc.
basically, you are anti-stall and wallbreaker the entire match,you want to end the match AS FAST as you want, its a very aggressive play-stile that just wants 1 turn to set up and DEMANDS sacrifices exploiting the turns trick room still works.
and this is singles, everyone knows it works on doubles
