Why do they hype this place so much? You can't even do anything special here. It appeared in almost(?) or all trailers and even got its own now.

If I had to guess, it's a development test area for the Pokemon interacting feature. They just prettied it up a bit and stuck it in the final game.

I honestly wondered this same thing, it really serves no purpose. I mean you do get some Pikachu wearable items but that could have easily been done by any NPC in any part of the game.

I get that Pikachu is the mascot and will be in every game but this is just a little too much, we get it PIKACHU GUYS PIKACHU. GF, I know you're going to shill Pikachu every game but please don't shove it in our faces this conspicuously next time and for the love of God please spend that time more effectively next time by expanding on other ares like the Golf course or the Dream Park in USUM
