Probably because Wonder trade is shared with SM but locks out the new content from USUM because it doesnt exist in SM

I've been wondering about this- will bred Own Tempo Rockruff still evolve into Carrot Dog? If so, that's fantastic. What do I need to do to ensure I don't just get a generic Rockruff when I breed it (I'm a bit shit at breeding as if you couldn't tell)?

But if you traded an Own Tempo Rockruff to SM it would just evolve into a Midday or Middnight depending on the version. I could understand not being able to trade Dusk Lycanroc, but not being able to trade Own Tempo Rockruff is bullshit.

No. The offspring all ended up in regular Pokeballs. But I found I could cross breed with other Rockruff to get it into other balls it normally wouldn't be in, as long as the female Rockruff had Own Tempo.

In order to make sure your baby Rockruff has Own Tempo:

Nope. Own Tempo Rockruff is treated as an entirely different mon in the games code- one with three ability slots dedicated to Own Tempo, that can only evolve into Carrotdog. A mon that doesn't exist in SM's coding

Own Tempo Rockruff isn't programmed into SM period. It also can't evolve into anything other than Dusk.

Dusk wasn't planned at all until after SM was done. It was clearly an afterthought to shill the thing harder. Its design gives that away.

There was some evidence of there being a third lycanroc form during SM's release, but otherwise i completely agree. They had some sort of framework for a form to help sell the ultra games, but clearly that was bungled
