Maybe cause you're supposed to play in a handheld console with motion controls instead of a sloppy emulator. Pokefinder already uses motion controls so it's nothing new to the games.

The difference being one situation you're taking pictures of stationary Pokemon and the other you're navigating an interdimensional tunnel simultaneously collecting speed orbs while avoiding static orbs as well as shit tier wormholes leading to garbage Pokemon. The motion controls are incredibly unreliable and it's proven by the fact that the tutorial includes a button solely to realign the shitty gyroscope. The 3DS' gyroscope isn't advanced enough to accurately navigate a 3D space and is best used as a camera.
