so what are they going to do to replace/enhance shinies in gen 8? with the rate they spoon feed them to you in modern games they have to top it somehow right?

Make alt colors an extremely common thing but make them separate from shinies.
Like, shines have an actual shining texture

How do you figure that? Shinies still take a good deal of time to get and Ultra Wormholes only give you a better chance of getting shinies of a specific pool of Pokemon.

the rate at which it gives shinies from that pool is ludacris though. ive gotten 3 shinies in the span of 5 minutes

I liked shines as they were. They were rare but not impossible. If you wanted a particular shiny, you could get it. Now you have the option to hoard them.

Shinies never had real value. Even in-game, they're worthless. It's just a color swap, most of which aren't even much prettier.
