So, I've been playing Pokemon since Emerald and I've never touched options EVER. I've been playing a long time without even looking at options.

I just learned that there is a option to make it so the opponent sends out a Pokemon without saying which one they are sending out and not asking if you want to switch out. What option is this? Also, are they any other options that make the games feel a little less easy?
