There are so, SO many side quests in Alola, I kind of love it. These are games that reward you going back and talking to everyone.

Im not complaining Jesus sure i don't like the game but im trying to do as much as possible as i want to enjoy the game but just can't im going out of my way to find things like this that i might enjoy i went back to melemele twice to try to do that event as im only as far as the akala beach spot

This. I think a lot people don't even go looking for them. I'm coming straight off of Trails in the Sky, so I kept talking to all the NPCs out of habit and found a ton of pleasant little sidequests. I really like the washed up bottles and the lost Pokemon quest
