Gonna be honest here the battle frontier is a bunch of boring facilities some of which have gimmicks, I'd rather spend my time doing wifi battles and getting better against actual opponents not exploitable AI.

I think the biggest problem with the frontier isn't just that it's hard, but that it's all but inaccessible for players who don't have min-maxed Pokemon. Hence why BW2's new features didn't really include anything that required fully trained Pokemon to do. Even the PWT was doable with an in-game team.

They should remove random wifi matchmaking then. I steamroll everyone with my injected maxed out team and I'm pretty fucking sure that I am not the only one that does that.

In Emerald, the Battle Frontier was the only substantial new content and the most heavily advertised feature, but a lot of players got to it only to find that they couldn't actually do anything with it unless they felt like spending hours upon hours upon hours of grinding. PvP is an entirely different matter.

Because the better players weren't designed to be unfun bullshit RNG abusing cheaters. The better players are someone who either took the time to work for their shit, or just injected which is hard to get mad about because everyone could inject if they wanted to.

Because people go in PvP knowing it's a multiplayer mode. The battle frontier is just content that's useless to players who don't take the time to min-max a whole new team after finishing the game. They still keep the obligatory Battle Tower around for players who like it, but I don't think they're ever going to make a substantial area aimed only at competitive players ever again.

If we're being realistic here, if by some divine intervention they decide to bring the BF back, what facilities would people even play outside of the Factory and Pyramid? Which seem to be the ones that have been played by most.

And I really like that. It was a challenge that I could do with my team and not something I needed to breed hard core for. The Battle Tower in RS was easy enough for stupid ten year old me to get to 100 with a shit non ev trained team. Now? I can barely get to fifty with a perfect team since the tree cheats so hard.

I'm kinda cool with all the facilities outside of palace, and even then, now that I'm a more understanding adult and breeding is easier than ever, I wouldn't mind trying to make a team specifically for palace...and then give up when I keep getting cucked at the final moment by the wrong move choice.
