I don't really like how this one came out. It has a mix of fall theme, tropical theme, and personal favorites that didn't really blend together well. I might make one of these again in the future when I have a ton of free time.

opening the template and the sprites in the same picture on an image editing software and then dragging them over is a easy as it will get.

selecting so many pokemon in a way that it makes sense is always going to be work

Not really, but you could try this
3 favorite starters
1 pokemon family of your favorite type
1 pokemon family for each gen
1 early game bird
1 early game normal type
1 early game bug
whatever legendary fit in
Filler and whatever you really wanted to include.

Or
Pick your home state/region/country
just do that

I think yours is pretty neat. I'm not sure how I feel about the weak normal types or 2 sets of starters. I do like that I can get a vague sense of what the routes could be like
