I'm probably the only person here who finds GSC kind of shit but most of my problems with those games such as it's lack of diverse selection in it's pokemon, terrible level curve, and slow battles due to the hp being slow to lower were fixed with RSE. They have a lot of cool things I wish would come back live diving and exploring the ocean and some of the weirder puzzles in the series like the regis puzzle. The new pokemon were kind of weird, some great ones but this is when :too many details" started to be a real thing. Overall just good games.
Have a sableye, it's my favorite pokemon of that generation.
