Beast Boost goes by the priority of Attack > Def > Sp Atk > Sp Def > Speed, so no point making Defense lower.

Beast boost priority is Attack > Defense > SpA > SpD > Speed
So havin them equal works out, I think 16 IVs works for stuff like vgc where you get brought down to level 50

Because beast boost will boost defense instead of attack. You have to minus defense by 10%
