Or you could be like me and change the time on your 3DS to suit your needs. The day before USUM came out (and I bought UM) I shifted my 3DS clock backwards 12 hours so I wouldn't have to deal with the time swap.

All 24 hour events have their clock reset to 24 hours from when you changed the time. Meaning all you have to do is do the events BEFORE changing the time, then you can change it back. This way it only throws your events off by several minutes to an hour at most depending on what you're doing it for.
