I used my freshly evolved Tyranitar mainly to beat Ultra Necrozma. I did lose my first round though so had to grind 2 levels for Poopitar.

It's a hard fight but far from impossible. My guys were all 52 for the record. Certainly not overleveled.

I had no idea that I was in for a difficulty spike. The first form was Lv 50 and I thought "well I heard there's a stronger form, it'll probably be Lv 55".

When I saw that it was Lv 60, I then thought, well, it can't be that bad, right? Then it raised all of its stats. THEN I thought... how... how high can these stats be? And then I looked it up.

Needless to say, it rocked my world. I had to swap out Focus Blast on Raichu for Thunder Wave, paralyze it, and I tried weakening it with my other Pokemon, even if some of them died in the process. Once it was weakened enough and I was able to get Decidueye in safely, then I used Sinister Arrow Raid to finish the job.

Averaging lv48 when I got there and it one-shotting my best defense in Muk, I caught a grumpig before reaching the white portal and taught it toxic.

If your answer to necrozma involves exp share, that's a paddlin'. If it involved refresh, uninstall your game.

I had Tauros wear focus sash, used scary face on Necrozma twice so all my pokemon outsped it. It was easy after that even with a team averaging lvl 45, everyone got a good thump in on it then finished it off with Malamar's black hole eclipse.

Im seriously impressed. Im not even mad.
Im not the type to grind for levels in pokemon not since I was a kid so I'm going to try type-reducing berries and if that doesnt work I'm gonna hoard some focus sashes but that kinda feels like cheating.
This is the first time I've never prepared for important battles before deciding on a team, I just trained what I feel like doing this time and Im seriously regretting it so far. My team are all at lvl 47-50.

Had a team of level 50's and NOTHING that could actually deal with it, I wasnt expecting Photon Geyser to bypass abilities like sturdy since no sources mentioned it.

I ended up having to bait out 5 photon geysers, then use my sturdymon to toxic it once it ran out of PP.

I just did it.

I used Ayylmao to paralyze, got a crunch off with Lyancroc, then used Zorarak disguised as a Machoke and it kept spamming the move that didn't work on it and I killed it. Took two tries

I think the fact that you need specific moves/items or a strategy to beat this guy makes him a far better boss fight than any other fight in the series.

Hell, you can even get through most trainer battles by just mashing A.

it outsped everything in my party, which was randomised and consisted of Klinklang, Chimecho, Bewear, Dragalge, Golurk and Vanilluxe all in levels 50-51. Before second attempt, I gave Chimecho Specs and taught him shadow ball, also taught golurk and bewear rock tomb
I started off with Klinklang who was the only one that could barely survive a resisted geyser and prayed to RNGesus to let in at least one rock tomb after sending them out. It does really catch you off guard
