This minigame should be used as a case study at game design courses, to show students what not to do. Everything about it is shit. It controls like liquid ass. It's a complete and total visual clusterfuck, with the wormholes taking up so much of the FOV that they regularly obscure the obstacles behind them. It even has RNG, the distribution of the energy balls means you might end up falling into a shitty wormhole after 5000 light years no matter how well you play. It's a total fucking piece of garbage and the game would be better off without it.
As a side note, why the fuck did GF bother to make new art assets for the Ultra Beast areas when they're all confined to just a shitty single corridor? How fucking hard would it have been to add a little exploration to these areas? It's not like they were too busy adding new areas to Alola or anything. A cool concept utterly squandered in typical GF fashion. USUM meant to fix the "unfinished" feeling of Gen VII, ironically the new additions themselves feel rushed and unfinished.
