Because it has an effect on people who will go into this game thinking what they said is true and miss a ton of stuff. People rush the game thinking it's the exact same game when there's like legit 20 different sidequests to do before you ever hit Poni Island.
And cutscenes like what OP posted is replaced with something else that's in the RR postgame. But people can cry all they want about how it shouldn't be in the POSTGAME, but who the fuck cares.
