I know the games just came out last week but I'm only getting grade 0 and people with the same pokemon..I never beat the main story yet but i'm grade 9 and my festival plaza is rank 51 are people just not interested in it?

SM players default to grade 0 so I think that's the main reason there are so many. If it stays this way it might need a patch because it's not too fun having an underleveled team.

how does the VIP list work for this. everytime i check the pokemon on it i seem limited to the top 4 or 5 people, is that how it's supposed to be?

They REALLY need to remove the leveling aspect altogether. It ruins the entire fucking mode. There's enough incentive to find guests to increase your pool of rentals. Levels just either fuck you over or fuck the mode over by being too low or too high. What a fucking shitshow.

Since grade 50 is the cap, I think the idea was to have the climax be level 100, and it would get more challenging. In theory it's not a terrible idea as long as you can recruit similar levels. If I was to update it, maybe just make it so that grades you can recruit can only be 5 less than yours or something.

on my 12th lost now because it's literally impossible to beat the boss when I have one level 56 and the other two are grade one level 50 and it's the same pokemon over and over so I can't even counter them

this system has no matchmaking even for just transfering info of ppl with similar grades.... I'm at grade 50 and constantly online but everyone except a closed group of friends in my plaza is grade 0.... Fact is nobody is playing it... which sucks

yeah the game just came out not even a week ago yet and im still playing other parts of the game, i only have one out of every 3 hours (since the game was legally released) dedicated to the game, so like 60 hours or so in maybe. It wasn't really fun playing with an Emboar that knew rest, sleep talk, gyro ball, and curse. or a bastiodon that knew rest, ancient power, round, and iron defense.

But the level difference is literally the only thing making it shit right now. If they just patched it to prioritise players of your grade when searching for partners it would fix it. I don't believe for a second that this is how the facility is meant to work so I imagine there may well be a fix at some point.

Maybe it's too early for casuals to have played this, the game has been out officially for only 6 days, and most people are looking more to get to the rainbow rocket postgame rather than trying the battle agency, i myself only got like 6 grades before i went back to trying to finish off the story, and just now i'm gonna finish the main story
