Yeah we all know thanks to datamine, Serebii and whatever else. But if you play it blind you couldn't know it. Especially since the guy denies being overleveled when his strongest mon(casually a Malamar, who knows why) is higher than the fucking E4.

CPUs have no programming to deal with Contrary and it's hilarious. Topsy Turvy is fun. Malamar has a great design. What reason would you have for not using Malamar outside of wanting to only use Gen 7 'mons or if you've already used it in another game?

I stuck with a Malamar because I needed a Hypnosis user early game, Contrary is fucking fantastic, and late game it had access to Psycho Cut and Foul Play. It's fair to assume he just kept it because it's a good Pokemon or otherwise covered bases his others couldn't fill.

Nobody argues that. The game's meant for kids. But he made this thread to shit on people who amped up the difficulty to an actual challenge. Using solely the team I currently have, this fight is literally impossible outside of spamming battle items or resorting to amie.

The fight would have just taken more revives, which I didn't feel like spending. Same logic as not using the Focus Sash. That's what I'm not yielding to: the game expecting me to waste a ton of resources.

If you Focus Sash + Toxic you will at max need 2 revives. Maybe 0 if you can predict a Photon Geyser or Dragon Pulse and switch in Dark and Fairy mons, or if any of your mons have Protect.

thats overleveled especially when you finally get to the league. I was at 45-47 during necrozma and 50-53 during the league. No refresh. No exp share.

Exp share is literally the EASY MODE for the newer pokemon games though. Some guy here posted his team before league and they were all 60-65.
