Part of the reason I come here is because I hope that maybe the next game will give me a reason to buy it, it's the only game franchise I still hope for even though I don't buy it. Other franchises I've given up entirely and don't bother following any news on them or even looking at a short trailer

Don't sit down and watch it as a thing you pay attention to. Watch it as something in the background. As you're playing something have it on and dip in and out as you go. It's a good way to fill time when you're grinding in a mmo or something similar.

I mean yeah its still pretty autistic as this really only needed to be 3 hours at the very most, but its not like what /vp/ does, which spout memes and shit their pants and CAPS LOCK THEIR WORDS or anything like that. I'm looking through his channel, and a lot of his videos are REALLY long. Like, he has 3 different videos about Sonic the Hedgehog in general, each of which is about 1-2 hours long

I'm starting to see a trend here.

There isn't a point like that in the originals. The rival never heals your Pokemon then. The only non-pokemon center heals are after you lose, the old lady house near the desert, and in the weather institute/aqua base, I believe.

I reviewed the entirety of gen 6 in the time it took to apply for a fucking job. I reviewed Gen VII in and compared it to both ORAS and X/Y in the time it took to browse pornhub and masturbate. What the legit fuck is this? I bet it's the same goddamn complaints instead of a 'thoughtful, but short and comfortable analysis of how each route works'. Brevity is the measure of wit, if you have to make a 7 hour video to explain why ORAS isn't very good, you're probably one of the world's biggest retards.

There's more than one kind of review. This is something similar to MathewMattosis's "reviews" of DMC and Dark Souls. They're not reviewing the game as a single entity, they're discussing game mechanics, interviews and stories the developer told while creating it. It's going beyond the surface and delving into the deeper information pools. It's something that works extremely well when done right.
