I actually think this is one of the most unsettling and creepiest parts of the entire series. An entire world (or at least a town) completely destroyed, and while they don't outright say that this Pokemon was the cause of it... apparently everyone else had to evacuate to another world while this stayed behind because of its appetite.

I don't know, something about that just helped show how dangerous this thing is. But I feel like the sad thing is, despite it being capable of such immense destruction, and despite it being a menacing Dark type... it's probably just a scared animal. I don't think it's a monster. It's just another animal that's looking to survive, but it just happens to be very dangerous to be around.

It's both unnerving and sad.
