Honestly, I'm more sad about the fact that Primarina's a singing opera singer and its wasted potential. She looks more inclined as a singing pop star idol than a opera singer.
They could have made her fat so the "'It ain't over till the fat lady sings" made sense, but as it is, it's just 'It ain't over till the lady sings". Its cry doesn't really work that well for the whole opera thing either and its femininity doesn't really work on picturing a male singing Primarina either, but that's more on my part.
I dunno, I picture a thicker, more natural looking Primarina and wonder what it could have been. Although I'm hoping to see, in case they ever show a Primarina on the anime, how will they interpret its voice. Hopefully, it's not too high-pitchy and annoying/trying to be cute and more like in the vein of a singer.
