>>34273129>you're saying that Light Screen, Flash, Flash Cannon, Signal Beam, Solar Beam, Aurora Beam, Confuse Ray, blah, blah, blahNo, I didn't say anything about existing moves or Pokémon, you fucking mong.
And again, I said that I assume "light type" is meant to contrast "dark type" (this is how most people talk about it), so the Pokémon it covers wouldn't just be things that happen to produce light (in the way that dark types generally aren't made of darkness or something), but rather, they'd be Pokémon that are in some way gallant or honorable (in contrast to dark types, which are shifty and underhanded). My contention was specifically that "light" doesn't literally represent photons (in the way that dark typing often doesn't literally represent darkness -- it's literally the "evil" type in Japan), "light" would represent more a state of mind (that sure, might have some moves that happen to produce blinding light)
That said, the idea of giving certain moves a "light" typing because they happen to produce light is retarded. All sorts of moves produce light, and we can generally just map these light-producing moves onto other types. There's no reason to have a light type, especially if it's literally just "this thing makes light"
