With the risk of the DP remakes being mediocre like every other Pokemon game in the 3DS era who here is legitime hype for them? Gen 4 was the first and last Pokemon games i played so i can't wait for the Switch version

I want to be excited, but I won't be. I think that even if they do the "we're only remaking Diamond and Pearl, not Platinum" excuse, Diamond and Pearl were strong games to begin with, better than most recent games. But I just shudder to imagine all the things they'd do to make it more "accessible". They'd probably cut out the Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus events and replace them with plain distributions.

Sadly they will probably remake gen 1 as fire red and leaf green are technically older. Damn shame because am sick of gen 1. Gamefreaks been doing so much genwunner pandering in X and Y and Sun and Moon. Kanto is BORING. There I said it.

I started with gen 1 back in the 90's but Sinnoh's definitely my favorite. Platinum specifically as it fixed DP's awful pre e4 type distrubution (lol ponyta only non-starter fire), fixed the fire and bug e4 members and allowed you to use those awesome new evoltions ingme. Best third version ever.

Sinnoh is the region I played with friends. Lots of battles, trading, helping each other in game. Funny how I remember the memories better than the in-game region itself. Had a blast with it though.

I still remember seeing the starters online when they were revealed and us all talking about who wanted to pick what. Hitting the library after school to get those trade-only evolutions. Those 3 in the morning all legendary battles just for shits and giggles. Getting Diamond and a new DS on my birthday, being an excited kid. Good times, anons. Good times.

Man the summer after DP came out I did nothing but waste it all playing pokemon with my cousin and neighborhood friends. Those were the days. I can't recall specific stuff about the region itself but I spent so much time on Diamond and Platinum, and HeartGold when it came out. I continued to play Platinum even after Gen V came out since I loved it so much. I'm praying Game Freak won't fuck it up too much when it comes out because it's inevitable that they will fuck up something.

If they actually utilise the Switch correctly, I'd be up for HD Sinnoh. Kind of hard to fuck that up, at least. It'd instantly be better than anything in the 3DS era.
