It’s been less than a month that usum has been out and already people are clamoring for gen 8. Why are gens becoming a yearly thing?

It's going in the same footsteps AC, COD and others went. Yearly to make the maximum amount of profit, doesn't matter if the game is good or not.

Gen 8 is getting this treatment because it was announced more than five months ago for a new, popular, and unique piece of hardware. Obviously people are gonna be clamoring for it, especially since USUM is just SM with a few changes.
