I want to update the ranking pastebin - at the moment, the rankings are:

I have only failed a Nuzlocke of Moon and watched others play USUM, but from what I figure, I think USUM could fit between Plata nd HGSS and regular SuMo might make sense before XY. Opinions?

Okay since Totem Togedemaru this game has been kicking my ass constantly.

First off Guzma's team was really fucking strong, both his 'Pod and Masquerain hit above 50% on my team even with Light Screen+Reflect up. I even lost my Anti-Guzma back-up Crobat to Icy Wind.

Then after struggling to the route's a Veteran Trainer's Dragon team went through me. I won by tanking with Umbreon. This is my team currently, but I'm taking advice on switching. The bottom three can be switched, Mimsy's only use is his Reflect/Light Screens.

I guess, but since everyone is talking about how Necrozma is way op, and every "boss" have perfect natured, IV and EV teams I'd put USUM above Plat for now.

Personally, I think HGSS is ranked too high and Emerald too low. HGSS for the most part is trivial, with some death traps here and there, that aren't so bad if you know about them. Emerald has a large amount of hard boss fights that make it deserve more recognition, and XY is still too easy without EXP Share. But that's just my two cents.

I think Crabominablw would be a welcome addition to your team considering your nasty weakness to Ground, maybe over Mr. Mime. If not, Pangoro would be a good choice for a Fighting type too. Maybe replace Probopass with Mudsdale if you think it's underperforming.

Good bit of progress since last time. Managed to catch a Geodude outside of the cave after a bunch of shit luck with the three other places Geodude shows up. Fucked up Bugsy with Geodude, who ended up super overleveled due to all the dangerous Fires and Electrics in the routes around Goldenrod.

Beedrill is already sucking so I was hoping to replace it with a decent mon but kept getting shit catches around Goldenrod (or failing to catch Abra), so I just used the Well Slowpoke. Surprisingly, Slowpoke managed to singlehandedly deck Whitney, mostly through Cursing and Growling until Miltank could barely do anything.

Still no deaths but I don't expect that to last. I also am desperate to replace Rattata who seems to barely be able to do anything.

I finally finished my UM Nuzlocke. It's pretty funny that they had the dramatic scene with the starter at the league, as Decidueye was the only member I never used at all. Lots of heal stalling but overall I found the league much easier than in the original Sun.

Also the ending didn't go on as long, but it left little to no impact compared to the original games.

How are USUM nuzlockes?
BW, B2W2 and HGSS were incredibly boring, since they never once offered a challenge.
Platinum had fun moments, like Jupiter's Skuntank, Admin Double Battle, Cyrus, Candice and the Elite 4.
I haven't beat Ultra Sun yet, barely got to the Volcano.
Not sure if I should restart now and attempt a nuzlocke.
Will it be boring like the first 3 games I mentioned?

Lenora's Chipunk isn't even guaranteed to use Retaliate when you knock out Herdier.
The only good fight is Ghetsis in the end.

I remember BW's early game being absurdly hard and punishing, between the Lillipup and Herdier that hit really hard and the few encounters available, not to mention the low diversity of the region and the shitmons you can get stuck with (Karrablast and Pidove come to mind). Unlike most Nuzlockes, a single mistake can cost you the run very early on.

Sacred Gold run continues, currently at Bugsy

Falkner was a disaster, lost both deckard and ego to him. Expected some form of grass move on his swablu when he switched it right into dwayne but not solar beam and most certainly not power herb solar beam.
Ego then solo'd most of his team but the pidgeotto got in a crit at the worst possible time

Dwayne's death is entirely on me though, should have expected giga drain on the zubat and at that point I already had bitcoin who could have dealt with it perfectly.

No deaths at the silver fight despite his bayleaf surprising me with nature power earthquake
let's see what horrors bugsy has in store

Just beat Hau at the festival, currently trying to figure out a way to take on the Trainer's School. No new encounters between now and then, so my options are limited. Might end up trying to cheese past Rowlet with Grubbin, but peck is risky.

I'd put GSC below Diamond and Pearl tho because of stat exp and badge boosts, which DP lacks. Plus the physical/special split doesn't exist and abilities don't either which make the games pretty simple in general.

Post Fire Trial update.
In Brooklet Hill, we fished up a Goldeen; problem is, she had her family around. After a horde of Goldeen, the chief of the bunch decided to come out. Strangely sweet for a Seaking, he tried to solve everything diplomatically. Horny wasn't an easy catch, but his addition was most welcome.
On Route 6, we came across those Team Skull fuckers, but nothing to write home about. Also there we went and caught Howlnd, a Lillipup that's a bit too Jolly. He'll bring some joy to the box. On route 7 we did some more fishing, waddling through a fuckton of Magikarp to find Maelstrom, our new Gyarados. Hardy and easy to anger, see seems intent on keeping his own safe from harm. I'm glad that sees to have accepted our merry group. He intimidates our younger members, but he's well-meaning.
Finally, Wela Volcano Park yielded Azula, a Saladit that seems intent on getting Green Owlrow. If it's because she fancies him or just to get in Babs' way, I don't know. They certainly don't like each other. The way she Boldly came up to him set those two off on a war path.

FUCK. THIS. TRIAL. Seriously, this might be the only trial that I can say is "unfair". I did my best not to overlevel but I should've. Fuck everything about this trial. I'm not even sure I want to keep this run going. I'm just drained right now. I can't even think on who to add.

A combination of Saladit, Hawlucha and Gyarados can cheese Lurantis easily (as long as you don't get fucked by an untimely crit). Then after that just hope you get some decent enough catches.

First off, Totem!Mimikyu having a Lum Berry and +1 in all stats is pretty OP, then having Banette Will-o-wisp, Screech or Curse really fucks around.

First I tried Tanking with Sheila, but Cursin' put an end to that, so I tried Z-moving with Poplu and he died in 1 turn. I knew I had to sack someone off and I chose Metang...

After a stall war using both Probopass and Umbreon's Synchronize, helping with Both Mimikyu and Banette died in the same turn, but at the cost of my starter.

Ideas for replacements?

Just beat Volt White Lenora, holy fuck that was close but I managed to avoid any losses by having Dancer spam sleep powder on everyone and having Arms Day set up with Work Up. Hopefully I get some good catches up ahead, it's been a pretty rough go doing things with only 2-3 pokemon. Gummy is completely useless at the moment and is an absolute chore to level up.

Just beat Totem Togedemaru on my blind nuzlocke. Well, not completely blind-- I knew Togedemaru was the totem so I prepared for it.

I love what the strategies they implement: Iron Head + Zing Zap flinches, Sitrus Berry + Pick Up Dedenne, Super Fang from Dedenne, Stealth Rock + Tailwind Skarmory.

But holy shit did it feel bad to be on the receiving end of this. I only lost one member (my Route 1 Buneary -> Lopunny. RIP) since I had great counters in Incineroar, Pupitar, and Primeape, but I dread to see what the rest of this game has.

Getting ready to go into Lush Jungle.
Zappy is devastated that her husbando Thoryuu is gone and I don't know what to do. Both Azula and Babs gave Owlrow some space, seeing as how he's balming himself for the disaster up in Wela Volcano. Caught Meh the Kecleon in the tunnel because it's technically a different place. He's meh.
On Route 8 we found Amazon, a Brave little Stufful. Seeing the way Snuggles cares for her fellow Pokemon reminds me too much of Ms. Blimp; shit hurts.
Caught the Wimpod and before I get called out, I did for two reasons.
1. it technically is a static encounter.
2. I already used a Bewear in my vanilla Sun playthrough and I'm trying to branch out.
That being said, Amazon is a Bashful little lady and I know how hard it might be to train her, but I think I'll go for it.
We're all in low spirits from the massive loss we suffered and there will denifitely be time for mourning later but, right now, we're going into this forest and eatting all the asses we find in our path.

Quick post trial update:
Azula rocked this trial. Getting the right choices means I skipped straight to the totem fight and Azula held her own against both the totem and the Comfey with a nice burn to whittle it down. Took a step back when Ancient Power Kecleon showed up, but a combination of Owlrow and Maelstrom took care of it. Zappy got a few hits in (she needed the stress relief).
Went for a rustle encounter and found exactly what I wanted, Catherine the Steenee. She has been making eyes at everybody since she was caught (even me, strangely enough) and the mood is all-around midly uncomfortable.

Been away from Pokemon for a year. Heard Ultra Sun & Moon came out so I figured I should finish this run before playing through Ultra Moon.

Lusamine's Bewear's Hammer Arm put Keybo down to literally 1 hp. Then Bewear got fully paralyzed two turns in a row. Somehow managed to get out of that fight without any deaths and I'm now on my way to the pokemon league.
I'm nervous. I've not seen Hau since Aether Paradise and I don't really have a solid check for that fucking Raichu. Fucker is going to be the champion isn't he?

Beheeyem or Oranguru?

Beheeyem is strong but slower and only decently bulky. Oranguru is much bulker and a bit faster, but quite weaker.

I'm leaning towards Oranguru because I haven't done the ghost trial yet and Oranguru should be able to handle the Gastly family, if they appear at all (this is a blind run, please don't spoil if there any changes). But Beheeyem's massive damage output (with a SpA+ nature) is making it tempting.

Yeah, good thinking. As I'm grinding him up to catch up, he's holding his own quite well thanks to Psychic, HP Fighting, and bulk for days. Plus, I just realized it also has a +SpA nature, and like you said its special attack isn't bad by any means.

Corsola could maybe take a hit from it but not dish out much back even with a hustle 140 physical rock z move expecially when the totem has all it's stats boosted and I don't resist it's stabs.
Even with fur coat and nullifying it's ghost moves Furfou wouldn't be able to use it's stab moves ether and bite would do next to nothing.
Whiscash is a meme in itself, can barely kill things with it's stab moves alone.
The rest can't take leech life or a ghost move.
I was almost thinking A-Diglit just for the totem then adding tadpole after but that's just my mind.

I'm not sure if you're banning Roto Lotto, but Roto Boost could help Furfrou stay on the field or help someone bait a move for optimal switch-ins (like Steel type Diglett on Play Rough)

Nesferatu and E.L.O. are doing great as well. The tag team is so intimidating that foes are too busy shaking in fear to get a good hit on them... although if you ask me, Nesferatu doesn't really LOOK that scary. His attitude has really carried him, though. Fearless bastard.

E.L.O., on the other hand, acts pretty chill, calculating her bites and tackles without much flare. Those piercing eyes and sharp fangs make her just as terrifying, though.

...I need ya'll to keep a secret. On route 1, I had a starly die in a training accident... I mean, I didn't think a starly had the strength to break another bird's spine... I haven't told Nesferatu. Only (Bevmo knows, but he might not even remember it. Seems like he's just in a whole different world at times.) I've been extremely careful with him for this reason; heck, I refused to let him out of his ball at all in the rock gym.

Sedius and Zuzu, meanwhile, are sweet boys who are currently just sort of along for the ride. kind of sick of training the zubat and geodude lines desu, might start one of them up but not too sure

Roserade. Three levels up, but I believed in Nesferatu. I counted on him and pushed him to deal with the Roserade. Wing attack did a decent chunk of damage, and a magical leaf came from Roserade. Easy, resist that. We can switch if need be to E.L.O. afterwards.

Nesferatu, just like that, plummeted to the ground.

I barely squeaked out the win without losing any of my other mons: Triton finished the fight poisoned with yellow health, but Pluck (which I had taught it just before the fight, in case everything somehow went to shit like this) finished Roserade off in the end.

Gym badge acquired, but at what cost?
I was getting over my fear over losing Nesferatu. I didn't trust myself with a Starvia after I lost Gothsicle to a critical tackle, but I guess I shouldn't have started to trust myself at all. Maybe I just can't be trusted with birds... It hurts so much, considering how well he was doing, but of least I know that even in his final moments he was filled with complete pride in his fighting spitiy...

Well once again I lost a long time team member to some bullshit since I guess clacs be damned Corkscrew crash didn't 1 shot the totem mimikyu after it's shield went down even with the thought of it having 31 ivs and it's defense boost put into consideration.
Rip Omar the Furfrou, I was iffy about him at the beginning but I miss him already. Duggy was already known to parish this battle but I wish it didn't have to come to it.
I guess it's back to building up before Nanu again..

Lead with Sandy, pressed Rock Slide, immediately noped the fuck out because that motherfucking Anorith has coverage for everything. Ice Fang'd him with Maelstrom. One down.
Switch to Catherine on the Lileep, heal Maelstrom, send him back out and Ice Fang the Lileep a couple times. Go back out to Catherine for the final blow as well as more healing. Two down.
Send Maelstrom out on the Lycanroc for Intimidate and to try and bait the Z Move. Switch to Eviolite Green Owlrow. Doesn't fall for it and keeps pressing Bite. Razor Leaf until that thing is dead, Super Potioning when needed.
Too stressful, gotta take a break.

Well, the Roost trainer's Butterfree on Route 3 2HKO'd Ray. I did not expect Silver Wind to hit as hard as it did. It ran out of them quickly and could only use Roost though, so I was able to stall it to death eventually. Any suggestions on who I should add to the team?

Well, not on my own, Serpentino is here. He's a quiet little snake, too quiet I would say. Also we befriended Owliver who takes everything too serious.

We have to meet with the Professor in the next town but I'd like to enjoy the Autumn's breeze a little more while I'm here, maybe even train the guys a little bit.

Seriously though, the golden rule of nuzlockes is: DON'T FUCKING RISK IT, RETARD!
If you have an opponent that MIGHT learn Dragon Rage, you heal immediately when your HP falls below 40; if a move has a high-crit ratio, it WILL crit; if your mon has a quad weakness, it's not coming out against whatever type it's weak to, EVER.
When you have permadeath on, anything and everything is cause for healing, heal-stalling for the purpose of scouting moves out, or leaving those moves you never ever use, like Smokescreen or Haze, because there WILL come a time where you're desperate enough to risk them of the littlest chance that your precious nicknamed baby might be able to maybe possibly survive.

Flannery down easy, didn't even need to sacrifice Illuseless. Marinell took care of Numel and Slugma, and Dojobro went up against Camerupt to tank Overheat and stall out Sunny Day turns, winning out in the end. Marinell beat Torkoal, after using Rollout to deal damage when Bubblebeam couldn't under the rain.

It's okay, I'm mostly playing through habit, I've been wiped in this hack 20-30 times so I generally through a lot of dead friends figured out who has what and when. That also said, don't ever talk to the scientist after the Tutorial guy on catching. Two problems one way or the other.
If you don't talk to him, some pokemon outside of the normal dex won't evolve (sunkern can't become sunflora and dusclops can't become dusknoir) but if you DO talk to him, you get the national dex immediately and can no longer face the pokemon league as mission order is thrown off.
I talked to him already so my run basically ends here, i can't challenge the E4

Whew, long overdue update incoming.
Last time we were leaving Akala into the new lands of Ula'Ula (and Aether, but who cares, amirite? Went, saw, bodied Jellyfish with Maelstrom's Aqua Tail). Before we left, however, Hanu Resort had an encounter for us and, after finding what I was looking for, I spent entirely too much of my time chaining for a shiny because fuck sanity. Greyskull the Sandygast is amazing, a Brave mon that doesn't shy away from his duty as a protector. Sure, he talks weird and people look at him funny, but he's one of our own goddamnit. After that, we sailed forward. Hau's fight was a joke, aside from his Raichu, but Zappy's Crunch and Greyskull's bulk got us through it.
Acidentally killed the Malie Garden encounter (Ariados) and not such else of note happened.
On Malie Cape we found Trashy the Trubbish, who is absolutely never ever leaving the PC. All I can say is that he's stubborn with things that he gets his hands(?) on. Down on Route 10 we got approached by ANOTHER Ariados, which we caught. Crawly is surprisingly Calm for a bug, seemingly understanding the general reaction to it. Good guy, very understanding.
Maelstrom took a break, seemingly to visit his old Magikarp pals, and Greyskull took his place for the coming trial. Catherine also took some time off, while Azula returned to fill the gap. She looked all grown up but, upon returning, it was the same routine of chasing Owlrow and annoying Babs.
The trial itself was very easy; Greyskull walled the fuck out of everything and Azula came in to toxic the totem. Some healstalling later and it was over.

Accumula Town was weird. First some crazy-looking dude started talking about liberating Pokemon and right after this N guy came to me and Cheren talking about "talking Pokemon". We had to battle and all.

I decided to leave town before anything crazier happened and right when I made it to Route 2 my mom catched up to me to give me my old running shoes. It was emotional.

Now Route 2 was great. We befriended Farfalla the Caterpie who quickly became a Butterfree and battled some trainers including Bianca. Then we moved on to Stration City.

While training at the Dreamyard some random girl gave me a Panpour who I named Drizzy; perfect for the Gym Battle. Oh, I also defeated Cheren at the school, piece of cake.

Farfalla is very modest but Drizzy is rash, just what the team needed.

Without further ado, I will challenge the Statrion City Gym and will hopefully obtain my first Gym Badge.

In fact, I might actually look into making that happen, if people are into it. I could make a template style up for each game (color scheme, title), and then it would just be a matter of making it easily customizable (its pretty simple in photoshop but I can't really translate that into usefulness for anyone else).

I guess the 'clauses' would be a completely customizable text section so people can put whatever they want, the badges would basically just be on/off switches for color (i need to fix that completely for the sinnoh badges though they're currently busted), and nature/item could be any text you wanted (even though the UI would indicate it as nature/item).

If I actually do something to make this a thing, would anyone else here be interested? Also, are there any changes to my design you would want? (extra information for party pokemon (i.e. route met or movepool), more information for boxed pokemon, change the whole tombstone thing, etc.)
Any advice is welcome, because the idea is growing on me and I'm dumb with these things.

I got my Gym Badge. That rotation battle was something but Drizzy learned Water Pulse and it became a breeze.

Then I had to go do this Fennel girl a favor at the Dreamyard and "Team Plasma" showed up, they were beating a Munna but Musharna came to the rescue. Bianca was completely useless, she just stood there while I had to battle two of them. Ugh.

Once all that was done, I went to Route 3. I had to battle Cheren and his Staravia was really scary. Then Team Plasma decided to ruin my day again and stole some girl's Pokemon. Me and Cheren had to go get it while Bianca was busy being useless.

On my way to Wellspring Cave I befriended a Shinx now named Voltron and it recently evolved into beautiful Luxio, very docile. At the cave we met Teddy the Teddiursa, he's adorable and loves to pick up stuff.

Me and Cheren defeated Team Plasma and got the Pokemon back, those battles were intense, but the team managed to defeat them.

Now, after playing around for a while with some Audinos, we're ready to tackle Route 3.

No Exp Share makes things very tedious because you will HAVE to grind, it'll just take longer. Not using it and turning it on for grinding is fine. As long as your levels don't go over (or go like 1 or 2 over) the next totem, it feels fairly challenging.

Holy hell, what a tense fight. Greyskull was upfront and it took the Razor Shell like a goddamn world-class champ, living on 3HP and getting off a Hypnosis; Water Compaction made the Defense rise 2 stages. Healed up and next turn Pod woke up with another one, Greyskull going for Iron Defense. +6 in 3 turns. Then it was a matter of chipping it down with Bulldoze (Razor Shell's Defense drop was nullified by Water Compaction) After it ran out, it used Sucker Punch to exaustion too.
After it pussied out, Azula switched into a Bug Buzz, then fired back with Z Fire for the one-shot.
Finally, Greyskull came back in and ate a First Impression. Having no moves left, Guzma had to spam First Impression while I shocked it with Zappy.

Picked up Peepers the Lileep for a tanky Pokémon. Between Hariyama, Azumarill, and Grimer, the roster is starting to look pretty fat. Debating who I should swap out in favor for Lileep, probably Marinell. Norman fight shouldn't be too far from now, doesn't mean I have to look forward to it though.

Bugsy was terrifying, I still thank the gods above and below his scyther decided to u-turn after getting a swords dance off. Took down poor sulfide with him but at least it ensured bitcoin could hypnosis him

currently at goldenrod, mom's been extra kind and send me over some chople berries to keep wojtek healthy and thanks to the miracles of voltorb flip I finally got some good moves and held items

that said, no way in hell I'm taking on Whitney right now, Lyra already managed to surprise me with what I assume was a zoom lens nidorina with thunder and blizzard given it never missed a damn hit so I'm assuming our dear gym leader will have something at least twice as dangerous.

Time to start something up again, this time I'm not sure what to run.
I have Fire Red Evolution, YetAnotherFireRedHack, Sapphire, Double Emerald, Red, Sun, and Gold. Still waiting on buying Ultra Moon but intend to still.
I wish emulations for Gen 4 and 5 worked better or were smoother because I have barely touched those gens. My only experience in Gen 6 was AS and I don't want to erase my save file to Nuzlocke that.

You can either just go for what the game tells you or separate it into 2 (Route 1 and Trainer's School) or even 3 (Route 1, Kukui's Lab and Trainer's School). It's a matter of preferrence, really, because these all have different encounter tables.

My practice for SuMo is typically just by encounter table groupings since the separation of areas is a little fuzzier in this game and the number of mons you get between Trials is pretty low if you don't make some concessions.

Just fought Plumeria infront of the Aether house and coincidentally only used my two new additions; Ruby the Starmie and Sarah the Mudsdale.

Ruby cleanly took out Golbat that was two levels higher and Sarah walloped Salazzle.

See ya, Sinnoh. The extra rule for Plat was using a random name generator and putting Pokemon on the team in alphabetical order. I thought I'd get way more shit letters but no, A-H for everyone. I got very lucky with this team. Garchomp with Swords Dance steamrolled the league. It was a little unfair. They didn't stand a chance. Could've had no deaths in the league if I hadn't gambled on Porygon-Z being able to OHKO Milotic. Of course it couldn't, idiot, Milotic has a ton of special bulk. Next up is a wedlocke through Heart Gold. Doesn't feel like I did Johto that long ago.

Fire Red was that I couldn't use Pokemon with a BST over 500 and Leaf Green was no evolution. Charmeleon was surprisingly useful up to the end. Bulba was dead weight by Celadon. Kept him around as a mascot.

Hypnotad might be the most useful 'mon I've ever used. She's my carryover from my Red Nuzlocke, and has now helped beat Lance twice now, surviving both. Lola did a good job too, just a shame she didn't actually have any Psychic moves to help out with Bruno. She helped with Lance and Koga, but Stala pretty much survived by keeping out the way.

Gizmo went down from nearly full health after Will's Slowbro, super early compared to what I was hoping for, but it took out his first Xatu.

Zombie went down in one from a Sludge... Bomb? Or just Sludge, from Koga's Weezing - I'd forgotten that in Gen 2, it didn't have Levitate, so went to put it to sleep. Also misremembered that Bug resisted Poison, which it definitely doesn't.

Chupa was wrecking Karen's shit, but I took a gamble healing Hypnotad, and got hit by a critical Petal Dance from her Vileplume. RIP.

That's Johto down, not sure whether to suffer through GSC Kanto, or move onto the next game (Leaf Green). What do y'all think?

I'm playing through UltraSun right now and I only allow one Fossil Pokemon from Konikoni & Aerodactyl to be used for gift Pokemon.

My reasoning is that they're completely unobtainable in the Nuzlocke otherwise so it adds more opportunity for variety.

Managed to fish up Macrauder the Corphish with the Good Rod in Petalburg, thankfully not getting stuck with a Goldeen. A good addition to the team. But when I went looking for a Carvanha, all I found were Magikarp.

Post Ghost Trial update:
I remembered that I never got Ten Carat encounters so I flew back to Melemele. I got the Furthest Hollow encounter first, which was a Carbink. Diana is pretty closed-off, but not rude. Can't say we interacted much.
On the way back I found Mawiles and Zubats, but I just did a locke with them, so they're off the list. Found another Carbink and decided to get a Sableye, since I never used one. Jewel is pretty laid-back, preferring to let other people do their thing first and only act when she has to. Diana doesn't get close to her, but I doubt Jewel would go after her; too much work.
My Route 11 encounter exploded, luckily I had Greyskull out. Fuck jihadists.
Blush Mountain was the next stop, where I finally caught a Graveler named Shock Baller. She likes to sass people, but it's all in good fun, she'd never let outsiders hurt her companions. Quite the inspiration to some other ladies in our group. Zappy evolved and the lightning strikes haven't stopped since, she's a monster. I'm sure Thoryuu is proud of her, wherever he is now.
Ula'Ula Beach led to the capture of Craby Balboa, who isn't nearly as flashy as one would think. Quite humble and easily flustered, he only wants to become as good a fighter as he can to make his family proud.
Once I got to Tapu Village, I went up Mount Lanakila and grabbed myself a Vulpix; always wanted to use one of these. Mint is very shy and cutesy, but I know she'll step up to the plate if necessary.
Once back down, a ran into a group of Snorunts playing in the thin snow and I knew I had to get one for myself. That's how we were joined by Ice Ice Babe, a very peaceful and patient gal that Mint got attached to almost immediately. Her poised demeanor has a calming effect on us all; she's very chill.
Met up with Acerola in the Aether House and she guided me to the trial site. 3spoopy5me, but we soldiered on. I accidentally overleveled, because I was sure Mimikyu would be 37, not 35.

I only went to 37/38, so I wasn't HORRIBLY overleveled. Azula tanked Shadow Claws and Plotted some Nasty things to do with the opponents (I didn't ask). Flame Burst took care of Banette and most of the Totem's health, only retreating when Jellicent showed up. Zappy subbed in and cleaned everything up. I feel like Rock Slide is better over Stomping Tantrum, because aside from dealing with Electric, Ground is kind of redundant with Fighting. I'm wondering if I should keep Brick Break as well, since Close Combat is better and Primeape is a glass cannon anyway.

Just got past Whitney and it was a lot less terrifying than I'd imagine
course it helps that angry got of 2 swords dances courtesy of bitcoin's wide lens hypnosis (-speed nature, I've yet to meet something it can outspeed)
Milktank was an absolute cunt though, survived Angry's attack, was faster and brought him down to 2hp and Whitney proceeded to spend 4 god damn super potions keeping it alive, thankfully rock smash is 60bp in this hack and still has it's large chance to drop def so the rest of the team cleaned things up

unfortunately wojtek is out of the team for the moment, one to many near-miss given it's weak defenses. Will get him back once I can reliably get him up to 30 to evolve. Grape is a decent replacement, though adamant nature isn't going to start being anything but a detriment until it evolves.

Quick question: in USUM, is it necessary to fight the Pinsirs on Exeggutor Island? I'm asking because after doing so, an Exeggutor carries you up to the next area, but I don't know if it was inaccessible before. The point is that Pinsir was my first encounter, but if it's basically scripted like this, then I don't want to count it as my catch.

Post Ya Boi update time.
Route 15 ended up with me knocking out my encounter, a Wishiwashi. On Route 16 we heard some strange sounds and, curious, went investigating. Apparently a couple Scraggy had stolen a boombox from Team Skull and were jamming out. They never saw what hit 'em. That's how Pantsu Dude joined us.
In Ula'Ula Meadow, Babs accidentally critted the Floette I had my eyes on; what a shame.
Up ahead, on Route 17, I went up the small hill and found a Skarmory. After getting him low enough a threw a ball, which he broke out of. Then he called for help and a fucking Goomy showed up! I had to have her. Being incredibly careful not to repeat past mistakes, I got it down slowly and finally was able to catch something. She's very self-conscious and worries about what others think of her, but I know we're all thrilled to have her on board.
Despite being female, she's only had eyes for the girls of the group, especially Mint. Odd, considering the typing. I got Ice Ice Babe to keep an eye on them for me, but let things run their course.
Po Town didn't offer too much of a challenge, but I grinded a bit anyway because Guzma is pretty tough.
When I finally made my way to him, I was scared, but I needn't be. Greyskull walled the fuck out of both 'Pod and Pinsir, while Azula took Masquerain down after a Nasty Plot. Little bitch used Icy Wind on my fire typer just to lower her speed and almost took her out with 1 Air Slash, but Azula repaid it twofold.

Winona is down. What Volf couldn't blow through, I had Peepers Toxic down. Macrauder worked in conjunction with Peepers, using Protect to get in more Toxic damage. Had a few close calls with Peepers' HP, but we pulled through. Altaria's Dragon Damce can get scary, but not if she doesn't have enough time to use it.

Reminder that in pre-Gen V Selfdestruct and Explosion halve the Defense of the opponent, so it's hard to say. Whatever the case, I'd save Dustox to face off against Manetric. Tomtom could probably beat Voltorb cleanly, if you're lucky you'll outspeed and he won't use Selfdestruct if Voltorb has a good amount of HO. I'd also say Dustox and Kirlia both have exceptionally high Special Defense to take Shock Waves. Swapping out Pelipper for any death fodder you may have in the box could also be a good idea.

Update: I'm a dumb shit edition

So I stormed Po Town, with a low amount of confidence seeing how YA BOI raped me earlier.

The town itself wasn't much of a problem, neither was Guzma surpisingly.

First it was Sheila v. Golisipod, I cheesed it and relied on her sturdy to live a hit and then hit Goli back with a Z-Power Gem, Koing it.

After that Marilyn took care of Pinsir with two Flame Bursts.

Here comes my stupidity, instead of

I don't think your team needs A-Sandslash. Scrafty and Pangoro are more or less the same Pokémon, only Pangoro eschews some bulk for a much higher Attack stat, so I think he's better. Odd to think, huh? Scrafty being bulkier than Pangoro? Plus Pangoro learns Parting Shot, which can be helpful. Just be mindful of that nasty quad weakness to Fairy.

Well, update time I guess:
-I forgot to put Waterium Z on Ray before the Fire trial, which meant Bubblebeam only 2HKO. I had to sack Persian and Magmar to keep the thing healthy enough to knock out Marowak. Rip Frisky and Supah Hot, you were bros.
-I ended up catching a Fletchling and was planning on using it to beat Totem Lurantis, but it died to a Goomy's Bide before I got the chance to use it. Instead I trained up my Magikarp and taught it Bounce from the move tutor and beat Totem Lurantis in 1 turn.

Next is Olivia, but with no counters for her Lileep and Anorith I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe I'll find something along the way, but it isn't looking great.

Lileep's a special attacker and Tentacool has great Sp. Def, so if it had Liquid Ooze it would be a nice counter. Especially since Lileep is weak to poison.

Araquanid is surprisingly bulkier than one would expect out of a Bug typer and Water Bubble-boosted Bubblebeam is great until Liquidation/Scald. Steenee learns Stomp/Evolves at 29, so the option's there too. Barring those, can't go wrong with good ol' Tentacruel, but you've got enough Electric weaknesses as is.

Nanu got absolutely destroyed, though Sandy tanked his Z Move with less than 10 HP remaining.
Aether was pretty smooth sailing, aside from shit like Faba spamming Hypnosis and landing every single one, forcing me to either tank and heal or use Awakenings. Not a threat, but a goddamn test of patience.
I was scared of fighting Ya Boi this time, because he was higher leveled than me, but Azula handled it fine with Flamethrower, while Greyskull, once more, walled Golisopod. That may have gotten a bit in her head and poor Owlrow was being tugged left and right by her and Babs.
