The Risen
>A highly influential team, that, by the start of the game, has members in very prestigious places within the region. Their goal is to prepare extraordinary trainers, then recruit them to further increase their power as an organization. Anyone that fails to meet their demands is shunned by society for their perceived "inferiority".
>The leader of this team is also the Champion, with the Elite Four being members of the organization.
>Additionally, one of the Gym Leaders is a member, and your professors' discoveries are being bankrolled by this organization. Somewhere along the line, your character becomes a member of this team, and your rival becomes a part of the International Police, which are investigating the leader of the team.
>The "grunts" of this team replace Ace Trainers, all of them having strong pokemon, and forming part of the Victory Road.
>At the end of the main story, the Champions room is revealed to contain an impressive amount of accolades, such as completed Pokédex Diplomas, golden Trainer Cards from every region, Battle Maison trophies, etc. The leader reveals that his original dimension was destroyed, with only a handful of people surviving, him being the youngest of them all. Using interdimensional technology, he travelled across dimensions, where he completed every Pokédex, and won every available challenge. He then appeared in the current dimension and decided to usher in a new generation of trainers, strong enough to repel the threats that wiped out his home world (and in this game, would be the event legendary).
>After being defeated as the Champion, he is held accountable for the social consequences that his team members' actions were responsible for. He manages to escape narrowly, using the Poké Balls he had on display in his room.
>In the Postgame, he uses his own legendaries to establish an Island where Trainers can battle to their hearts' content, basically establishing a Battle Frontier where he cannot be extradited.
