this comparison doesn't work well when half the shit there is specifically designed not to look like typical pokemon. Compare the first x types in the gen 1 dex to the first x types in the gen 7 dex instead.

The design doesn't seem like it's changed whatsoever. My only problem is that new yellow fucker and the new purple fucker look like digimons.
